The bible says curse is the man who puts his trust in man. God knows everything we are going through at this very moment and everything we will go through in the future. He knows the best way to handle every situation so we get the best possible outcome and we need to trust him with our all. With all the experience we have with him we need to trust that he knows best.
If you put your trust in God, he takes care of everything that concerns you. He becomes your security, he becomes your guide, your protection, your confidant, your provider, your healer, you name it. He makes sure you do not lack anything. He has ordered the rains to come in its season to water our plants, the sun shines for our benefit. He knows we will need light at night so he provided the moon. He has provided the air for us to breathe. He has given animals for us to feast on.
Isn’t it wonderful how we put seeds on the ground and just water and watch it grow. Have you wandered why the fishes never get finished in the waters? The sea never gets dry. Apart from that he has given his angels charge over us
( Psalm 91:11-12)
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
We don’t see the spiritual realm, so he takes care of all that for us. That is a trusted person we can rely on. He ensures his people never lack anything. We always get disappointed when we put our trust in man.
When man starts giving you promises, get ready to be used. When he says I am coming to serve or help you, give me the chance, get ready to serve him instead. You will be his bodyguard, his Gardner, Cook, his driver, he will use you to do his dirty work. When there is danger, he will use you as his shield. This brings to mind Steel Pulse song which describes the life of the ‘bodyguard’. Who is going to lose their life? It’s the bodyguard. His life is always at risk because of the one who has promised to serve and protect the people. When it becomes necessary, you may be sacrificed.
It is not so with God. God sacrificed his son for you and I. Man wants the best for himself but God gives man the best. Which one do you prefer? I remember when the Israelites requested for a king, this is what God put before them yet they still wanted a man to rule over them just like the other nations were doing.
God has all the power but man depends on man for advice so decisions and actions are not always perfect, and it has created a lot of disappointments.
People get misled most of the time. God is all-knowing, he sees the two sides of the coin so man cannot lie or advise God. He has no advisor. Man can concoct a story to suit someone just to look good in people’s eyes. This is because we are not God and cannot know when we are being lied, to yet we trust man more than God.
Trust in God. He doesn’t make mistakes. He is perfect.
