Just remember the good old days. Those days you used to hear clearly from the Holy Spirit.
Those days you received quick answers to your prayers. There was peace, joy and satisfaction. Your loved ones were there for you. It is like Job’s early life. Everything was fine from the beginning. Little did he know that it will not always be like that.
Now you are in another stage in life and you can no longer hear from God. He used to speak to you clearly but now even when you speak He does not respond. You only receive words of encouragement. He is still with you. Remember the things he has done in the past to help you keep trusting in him. David found himself in a similar situation, but listen to what he did in Psalm 77:10 – “And I said, this is my infirmity but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most high.” Yes, this attitude will keep you going.
No matter how far you think God seem from you; no matter the change in your relationship with your maker. No matter the bitter experience you are now going through; just remember the years of the right hand of the most high.
Job realized this and asked: ‘must we only expect good things from God?’ He said ” though he slays me, yet will I trust in him for I know my redeemer lives.
Behave like the child who still goes back to his mother even after she punishes her.
You will not always have it easy when God is with you. Sometimes he has to pretend he is not there just to make you fulfill destiny. You feel like your prayer is not being heard but Jesus is still with you. Remember that even Jesus’ cry did not attract God’s attention when He had to accomplish his mission on this earth. He said ‘Father, why has thou forsaken me’; but there was no response. So, it is with us; we all have missions to accomplish on this earth. And it is only through such means that can we can fulfill our destiny. Stay strong and consult his word to encourage yourself. He will surely show up when you are done. He said in Matt. 28: 20 ‘that ‘behold I am with you always even to the end of the world.’ God has not forsaken you. You just have to fulfill destiny.
