As a young person, all you need to do is to build yourself towards your future. Career building is good but as you do that you need to deal with the negative patterns created by the foundation in the family as well. It is very important. It plays a vital role in one’s life, both spiritually and physically. Nobody can rise beyond the limits set by the foundations of the family no matter how anointed he is, except he breaks it.

It has direct effect on your destiny. It sets limits for people in the family. This is because foundations play a very important role in one’s life. The family patterns that the foundations create can only be overcome by prayer. If it is left unchecked it can really frustrate one’s life.

Look very well in the family. Do you see strange happenings in the family? Do you see abject poverty, sicknesses, and family members dying young? Do you see barrenness, limitations, setbacks, etc.? Not only that, certain situations keep repeating itself in the family.

Let me give you an example, somebody died when she was giving birth. Now the daughter is old and she also dies during child birth.

Situations arise, but when they arise and it continues from father or mother to child, sister, cousin, uncle, then you need to give it a serious thought. There is something wrong with the foundation.

Don’t wait until the patterns of the family starts working in your life before you praying. Start while you are young so that it would be broken before you get to that stage.

One thing I have noticed in life is that when God says He will be with you, the devil also wants to be with you by every means because he also sees the greatness in you and wants to destroy it; and in most cases the devil’s own show up first. He is with you whether you like it or not. He wants to direct your path.

Psalm 11:3 says “if the foundations are destroyed what can the righteous do?”

Everything in life has a foundation. The moment you begin life, you build a foundation each day for your generations unborn and this is the main reason why you need to watch what you do. What happens in the early stages of your life will determine the outcome of your future.

Your education is a foundation, the family values we are taught in our various homes are all foundations. When we marry, we begin a new foundation. The past deeds of your past lineage make up your foundation, and that is what you build on.

There are good and evil foundations.

When we talk about evil foundations, we are talking about alters, strongholds, pronouncements, etc. They manipulate everyone in the family because of the bloodline. They put systems (family patterns) in place for the family members to follow without knowing.

Families are founded in different ways. Some of these foundations came as a result of a curse or deity our forefathers entered into a covenant with. Some came through pronouncements.

The family foundation is so strong that only God can separate you from it.

Foundational curses and covenants are renewed on evil alters. They make sure you are glued to the foundation by offering sacrifices on your behalf periodically.

Evil foundations started from Adam and Eve. When they sinned against God, God cursed them and it has remained with us from generation to generation.

He said the man will sweat before he eats, and the woman will labor in child birth. You will bruise the head of the serpent and the serpent will bruise your heel.

We see this happen all the time. Men struggle to put food on the table. Women labor before giving birth. We kill snakes or they bite us. So before we are born, we are already cursed. That is the foundation we build on.

The human foundation is like a building structure; no matter how beautiful it may appear, it would not last if the foundation is faulty. Bad buildings can collapse but evil foundations need to be broken by prayer so that good ones can be built.

If you practice money laundering, also termed as ‘sakawa’ in my local dialect, armed robbery, prostitution, gambling etc., you are building a foundation for your generations unborn. They have their own consequences. You may not pay for it now but your descendants will.

Whatever you practice now will form a foundation in addition to what already exist in the family for your generations to come.

When you realize an evil pattern in your family, you need to deal with it before you become a victim.

As we speak now, you may have no idea of what went into the foundations of your family and its consequences. The situation unfolds as you grow.

You can do nothing about it unless prayer goes up, a very serious one. That is when you engage in spiritual warfare (midnight prayers) if you really want to be liberated. It has taken me about 30 years to break one evil foundation I inherited. You don’t know how long yours will take. That is why it is important to start praying now.

Those we call barren now did not know they will be barren in the future. Some did not know they will not be married to. Some did not know they will go to prison. Some did not know they will be useless in life looking at the way they started life. Some never thought that they would commit suicide? If they knew, they would have started working on it before this stage.

It is all part of the family patterns. It has been designed to happen at some stage in life. It may happen to you because of the blood line. You all have one point of contact and the blood runs through all of you.

If there is madness, or cancer or any bad thing that people experience in your family, tell yourself minus you, and start praying against it. Do not wait until it comes before you start praying about it. Deliverance may come, but you will go through pain before it comes. If someone had told you that you will be addicted to drugs or you will become a drunkard you would not have believed him.

Start praying now to avoid a similar situation in the future.

Jeremiah 29:11 says ‘For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.’

Family patterns do not allow things to come that easy. They delay the promises of God if you don’t put them in check or they don’t let it happen at all.

But the bible says “He disappointeth the devices of the crafty so their hands cannot perform their enterprise. God will disappoint them if you pray.

And the good news is that ‘But upon mount Zion, there shall be deliverance, and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions’ (Obadiah 1:17).

You shall possess your possessions if you will allow Jesus to come into your situation. Your story will be different in the family. God will use you to bring an end to the situation.

Dagon will fall, Goliath will fall, Baal will be destroyed before you.
