You Are An Answer To Someone’s Prayer

by | Jan 28, 2025 | Inspiration

God has given us distinct talents and strengths which makes our lives intertwined, so we all have the potential to solve someone’s problems.
God created that interconnectedness to make us carry one another’s burden (Gal 6:2). Someone’s cure to a particular sickness or disease is with someone somewhere. It is the knowledge; Somebody knows what we do not know. We may be stronger than others so when it comes to strength and skills in battle, we may be used to answer the weaker ones’ prayers.
King Saul needed a lasting solution to the continuous harassment from Goliath, the Philistine. David had the braveness and the skill to fight him because of the experience he had while taking care of his father’s flock in the bush. He had to fight wild animals and to him, Goliath was no exception (1 Samuel 17:34-36). David became an answer to Israel’s prayer at the time. God used him to conquer Goliath on Israel’s behalf (1Samuel 17:50-53).
Israel remained in captivity for 430 years in Egypt (Exodus 12:40) until their answer (Moses) was born, bread in the King’s palace in Egypt, run away for 40 years and came back to rescue them through God’s instructions. It took a long time but their prayer was eventually answered.
You may not know who can be used to answer your prayer; so let us live in harmony with everyone. Patience is very important in our day to day activities. We should also learn to wait for our answers to come, no rush. King Saul did not believe David when he said he could fight Goliath. Do not underestimate anybody, may God help us all to discern.
Your breakthrough lies in the introduction of someone to you. A good job is answer to someone’s prayer, financially. In 1 Samuel, Samuel became an answer to Hanna’s prayer when she prayed for a child 1 Samuel 1:27 says ” For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him”. Look at the case of Abraham. Isaac became an answer to his prayer. And Rebecca became an answer to Abraham’s servant’s prayer for a wife for Isaac (Genesis 24:12-15). A place can also be an answer to your prayer. That is why people travel abroad for greener pastures.
Our unique talents and experiences may help bring answers to people’s prayers and we may not realize it. With our experience, people who go through similar challenges may receive answers to their prayers through us. Let us not hold back when we are moved to help others; it is all part of the answers to prayers. The person sitting next to you or a stranger you passed on the street may be answer to your prayer. Somebody can receive his answer just by greeting someone; the greeting can trigger conversation which may bring solution to whatever challenge he or she is looking for. We should recognize that everyone has something valuable to offer.
