Dealing With Frustration In Your Youth

by | Nov 7, 2024 | Inspiration

Every person goes through frustration at some stage in life. The slight ones occur in our daily lives and they come in different forms.

For example;

• When you are trying to fix something with difficulty, you tend to be frustrated.

• Differences of opinion between persons can also be frustrating.

• Failure in examination can also be very frustrating.

• One also gets frustrated when he feels worthless.

• Failure in fulfilling promises breeds frustration.

• In a country where unemployment is very high, the youth tend to be frustrated.

Frustration makes one feel like your whole world has come to an end. Based on these examples we can confidently say that frustration is an emotional experience which a person goes through when his or her expectations or desires are consistently not met though the situation may be temporal.

The dictionary meaning of frustration is the feeling of being upset or annoyed as a result of being unable to change or achieve something.

Whatever we experience in life teaches us something, and frustration cannot be taken out. It forces one to be patient in life. It helps you gain self-control. Self-control helps you to be disciplined. Patience and self-control are listed in Galatians 5 as part of the fruits of the spirit. The word of God reigns supreme. It shows up in our daily activities and it works in every human being.

Proverbs 13:12 says; “Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.”

The situation may seem bad but it may be for your own good. Do not lean on your own understanding. Your desires at the time may not look good in the eyes of God. He orders our steps but we do not see it.

We now realize that frustration, though it brings negative feeling, is not a bad thing after all. There is time for everything. Habakkuk 2:3 says;“For the vision is for an appointed time; though it tarries, wait for it. For it will surely come. It will not tarry.”

Your expectation shall not be cut off. It will surely come to pass in its season.

Mathew 11:28-29 is calling you to “come unto Jesus, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and He will give you rest.”

If you are feeling frustrated, take it to God in prayer.Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us not be anxious about anything but in every situation, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, we should present our requests to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

In your frustration, do not make a hasty decision. Stop whatever you are doing and be quiet. Don’t force it. If you get angry the solution may come but you will not see it.

In my frustration I always ask the Holy Spirit to show me what I should do and I always get solution, either at the time I need it or later.
