If I had the opportunity to be young again, I would have learnt from the mistakes of others to live my life. I would have listened to other people’s experiences and learn some lessons from them. I would have made the bible my life manual because; in it are so many secrets to life enough to guide me to eternal life.

The book of Proverbs is the best life coach one can ever have. It reveals the mysteries of life. It teaches me the outcome of the path I choose whether good or bad. Lives and experiences of people have come and gone. What is happening now has happened in the lives of those who came before us. All we experience now have been experienced by others before. But the outcome of their actions is worthy of note.

Proverbs tells me in chapter 2:6 that the Lord gives wisdom; out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding. The chapter 1:7 says “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”. It means if I have wisdom and understanding, I am like a prophet. I see beyond what everybody sees and how everybody perceives life.

It further makes me understand that” in the right hand of wisdom is long life: in her left hand are riches and honor”. So if I want to live long and have riches and honor, I will choose wisdom. If I were young like you, I would choose to fear the Lord so that I can have wisdom to live a life worthy to be called a child of God.

As you grow, it is important to note that “Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom; and in all thy getting get understanding” (proverbs 4:7).
