Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning (James 1:17)
The Lord who makes miracles out of us, will make a miracle out of us in the name of Jesus. He will do us good. Jeremiah 32:40 says ‘ I will do a covenant with them, I will not turn away from doing them good.’ The Lord who changes destinies, will change our destiny. Psalm 40:2 says, ‘He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.’
He brings us to our worthy place; and places us among the great.
Our God is the only one who stands by us.
He is the only one who waits on us patiently until we decide to walk with Him. Isaiah 30:18 says ‘Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. He waits when we reject him; He waits to wash and cleanse us when we make ourselves dirty.
God loves you and wants to bless you, and it starts by receiving Christ’s forgiveness through His shed blood on the cross. When you put your trust in Jesus, you become a son or daughter of the perfect heavenly Father.
For the Lord is a God of justice
blessed are all those who wait for him.’
If you are playing with Him, take Him serious now. The only one who does not look down on us no matter our position. He goes to everyone’s level. Never look down on anyone with disdain but love. He never says you are not my class so I will not save you, I will not walk with you. No sin is too great for him to forgive. No darkness is too dark for his light to reach. He still lurks around when you are not looking. Remember the bad things you used to do yet he still calls you His own. Israel’s repeated Idolatory could not stop Him from loving them and doing them good. Consider King David’s mistakes in 2 Samuel 11 where he took another man’s wife and orchestrated his death, God still described him as a man after his own Heart. He does not care about our imperfections.
He deserves our praise. Make use of His love while it lasts. A time will come when grace will be found no more. We enjoy His love because of the grace He has made abundant for us. The Lord will do us good, let us walk with Him even through thick and thin.
We forget that one of his goodness is being alive: that is the first sign of God’s goodness. Psalm 23 describes God’s goodness like a shepherd’s care; ‘.. I shall not want, he makes me to lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside the still waters and restores my soul, He leads me in the path of righteousness for His name sake, ye though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.’
‘You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, you anoint my head with oil, and my cup runs over, goodness and mercy shall follow me.’
The preparation of the table comes with God’s protection. David rescued his sheep from the lion’s jaw; our father’s power to save us is far greater. The Lord’s protection will keep you from predators. It kept Job from Satan’s attack in Job chapter 1:10 where it states that ‘You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property. You have made him prosper in everything he does. Look how rich he is! That is how God has made you. It is by God’s mercies that we are not consumed.
They will see it but they cannot do anything just like Job’s situation.
The Lord will honour you in the sight of all.
We will all experience this goodness in His time.
God is good all the time; all the time, God is good.
