Have you ever experienced a moment when everything seems to fall into place, and you feel an unusual sense of blessing and prosperity? That’s what happens when the favor of God finds you.
Proverbs 8: 35 says ‘For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD’. If you find Jesus you will obtain favour.
God’s favor is His gracious and merciful attitude towards us, resulting in benefits, blessings, and success. It’s not based on our deserving but on His goodness and love. It is not based on worthiness.
According to Deuteronomy 28:2-6″ God’s favour manisfests in different ways “And all these blessings shall ….. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.”
Doors open, and opportunities come your way that you cannot imagine.
Your words and actions carry more weight, and people listen.
You experience a surge of goodness in every area of your life. You become well connected. You feel a deep sense of peace and happiness in your life.
Your personal and spiritual growth accelerates, and progress becomes evident.
Psalm 5:12 says, “For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield”. That scripture is talking about us; the born-again child of God who serves Him. When Jesus shed His blood, He made righteousness available to us all, and with it came the favor of God. God’s favor surrounds us always.
Moses knew the precious favor of the Lord, and he did not want to go another day without it. He remembered as a child how God’s favor was upon him. How when Pharaoh ordered the destruction and killings of all the baby boys of the Israelites, that God’s favor sustained Him. I am very sure, you have also been favoured in so many ways. Pharaoh could have killed Moses when he returned to Egypt to deliver Israel but the favour of God was with him so it did not cross Pharaoh’s mind. You might also have escaped some punishments you should have received in the past. It is also the favour of God. The position that was given to you was also born out of the favour of God. Lets us keep a strong relationship with God, and His favor will continue to be with you.
God’s favor is not a one-time event but a continuous process. As you walk in His ways and seek His face, expect His favor to find you and transform your life!
His favour transformed Moses into becoming a deliverer. This same favour made Abraham, the father of many nations. David became king over all Israel.
Joseph began with favor from his father from a young age. He became Prime Minister of Egypt by the favour of God. Esther became queen in a foreign country when she was supposed to be a slave. Our very existence is by the favour of God.
It is in different life phases: every stage in life comes with its own favour. For example; When we get to the working phase, the favour enables us to get employed. Marriage phase enables us to marry when we are riped for marriage. Now we may be in the guidance and protection phase. The success and prosperity phase will come our way at the right time. That is when everything will fall into place, and you feel an unusual sense of blessing and prosperity. In Genesis 39:2 ” And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian”. Joseph had been through other phases of the favour of God at the time and was now in prosperity phase. Wait for your turn, favour will find you. It is a process.
